How We Help


The Foundation organises and executes its own programmes, partners with other charitable organisations, and provides one-off grants to individuals who are involved in the causes it supports and who meet eligibility criteria for support.  


The Foundation is primarily interested in the following areas:


We support these causes through a variety of means. We provide relief in the face of economic hardship experienced by groups or communities involved in, and earning a living from,  literary or artistic pursuits.  We support charitable organisations and individuals who work in the area of education,  especially, the education of young girls.  We also provide modest one-off grants to individuals involved in any type of literary endeavour or artistic creativity relating to fine arts and performing arts, provided their family income is  below Rs 25,000 per month.


In addition, we provide a small number of emergency grants to individuals through the year. Under exceptional circumstances, such as those arising from natural calamities, illness or death, we may support causes that do not fall within our primary areas of interest.
